My Story...From Intuitive to Reiki Master.

My first awareness of the word “Reiki” was in 2002 (difficult to believe that was 20yrs ago!)

I was estranged from my Father at that time and I remember one day being in the company of other family members and they were discussing his recent trip to Asia and how he was “doing” Reiki?!

Now, to give you a little insight, my Father usually only ventured as far away as our holiday home in Berwick-Upon-Tweed and his belief in the "other worldly" phenomenon was often met with a raised eyebrow or tutting remark, so, to hear of his Far Eastern adventures and facilitating the healing of others, well I can’t even begin to tell you the thoughts running through my head but one of them was most definitely “what is this Reiki”?

I remember asking a few friends and researching a little online at the time but that's where it stopped. Reiki did not resonate with me at that time.

It's difficult to fully comprehend however, I realise now that this was the seed being planted & activated within me as the next 2yrs of my life took some very random, unexpected twists and turns igniting an awareness of new unseen energies around me.

The catalyst was a trip to Egypt in 2003. I have always had deep spiritual connections with Egypt and had visited a few times before but this trip was to be life changing.

Within a few hours of arriving I met my soulmate! We were married within 5mths & Egypt became my home. We were living our best lives ever! It was during this time that my, shall we say, “6th sense” was heightened exponentially. I was having the wildest deja vu or past life experiences, I understood the Arabic language as if I was somehow “remembering” it and picking up my Oracle cards I was reading with greater accuracy and beginning to “see” energy move around people in wisps of colour. It was a truly Magical time.

At the end of 2004, we moved to Scotland and it was at this time that I bumped into an old acquaintance who was now a Reiki Master Practitioner. She offered to attune me to Reiki Level 1, opening up my awareness to Self Heal. She taught me a number of hand positions for placing on my head & body and how to allow & intend for the Universal Energies to enter and Heal.

Over the next 15 years, in-between "normal" and not so normal life experiences, I added many alternative practices to my Reiki from a Counselling Skills Accreditation to Emotion Kinesiology with hours of studies on Sound, Colour, Meditation, Yoga, Chakras, Energy Meridians, Emotional Stress Release, Tapping, Muscle Balancing, Visual Inhibition, Auricular Energy not to mention Intuitive Oracle card reading.

In 2019, my life took another significant turn in direction and this led me to acquiring my Reiki Level 2 Diploma. Looking back, I can see that I was preparing to step into my role of Service to Others :)

Reiki Level 2 attunement activates “codes” within you to become a Channel or Conduit of the Universal healing energies. The attunement increases your frequency & vibration (Light) in order to let these higher energies pass through you and into any other energetic life force such as (& not limited to) people, animals, plants & places!

Later this year I will be offering courses and Sacred Reiki Attunements where I will share the knowledge of the quantum science, Earth & Celestial energies along with an understanding of our body's own energy mapping system. These elements all play a part in becoming Reiki Attuned.

To give a little insight, Attunements are literally about being “tuned in”. Tuned in to receive and give universal healing energy. Reiki healing always provides the highest possible outcome for the Receiver's Highest Good, facilitating healing & balancing of Mind, Body, Emotion & Spirit. Even if we're not able to express or communicate our need at that time, the energy flows to where it is most needed for the Individual.

When being attuned, Sacred Geometric symbols are scribed into the energy field which in turn send vibrations and frequencies to dormant DNA codes within you. It's pretty amazing. These codes are within all of us, just waiting to be ignited into remembrance.

To conclude my Story, during 2019 and the arrival of the chaos that was “2020”, many (if not all) areas of my life "died". I know that sounds dramatic but it really is true! Everything I had built in terms of Career, Relationships, Friends, Finances, Health etc, seemed to be crumbling around me and no matter how much I held on, resisted & fought to resurrect them, they fell.

Looking back, this was in fact the "Awakening" of my True Authentic Self. When you stand in your Truth, anything that is not aligned with this cannot stay. If we are showing up in any area of our life with a "mask" of who we believe we have to be (the conditioned you) we are not living our Best Life or fullest potential!

Last year, I founded E:Motion Therapy!

My mission statement is:

"E:Motion Therapy supports and guides you back into a state of "knowing & remembrance" of your True Authentic Self so that you can live the life you were always meant to live in peace and harmony of Mind, Body and Soul."

To enable me to fully support my clients on their own healing Journey, last year I was attuned to the Level of Reiki Master.

The attunements took place over a few days with time in-between for my physical body to level up. You really can't rush this level of energy work and as I also had two Reiki Masters attuning me (a story for another time!), being in the same room with these women was a powerful and heady mix of vibrating, swirling, spiralling, humming, ear ringing sensations lol

As each sacred symbol activated, my waking and dream states offered many enlightening experiences and all my existing senses seemed to be supersensitive and evolving to higher levels of awareness.

I now understand why the attuning to Reiki Master Level must never be taken lightly and only after much discussion with your chosen Reiki Master. Their support is essential through the process and for some time after.

The joys of becoming a Reiki Master are many. In addition to me receiving higher vibrational healing energy through sacred symbols, techniques and knowledge, the giving of the energy is greatly amplified and the Receiver experiences a noticeably deeper healing session.

Although I have successfully practised Reiki for years, after my Reiki Master Attunement my very way of life seems to have shifted and in all the best ways! I am so very grateful to be able to channel the Light to support others, especially during these times of great energetic imbalances.
